ABOUT ME

You don’t need another tutor who just follows a textbook. You need someone who understands why you’re learning English — and helps you actually use it.

I didn’t become an English tutor because I loved grammar rules — I became one because I love helping people express themselves. Over the years, I noticed a common theme: many learners knew more English than they gave themselves credit for. What they lacked wasn’t knowledge — it was confidence.

That’s why I created a teaching approach that strips away the pressure and puts real-life communication first. No artificial scripts, no forced small talk, no fear of “getting it wrong.” My sessions are built around you — your pace, your interests, your goals.

What makes me different? I listen. I adapt. I don’t give one-size-fits-all lessons. Whether you’re a busy professional preparing for meetings, someone finally taking the leap to speak more fluently, or just tired of boring materials, I’ve got you covered. We’ll work together in a way that’s relaxed but focused, supportive but honest.

For me, English isn’t just a subject — it’s a tool for connection. And helping you use it with ease is what keeps me doing this every day.

Professional Background

I was born on a hot July afternoon (as my parents tell me, I don't remember these details) and raised in Istanbul. I first started learning English at a young age while playing console and PC games. The constant exposure to dialogues, instructions, and online interactions sparked my interest in the language long before I studied it formally. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a skill—I was already comfortable using English in everyday contexts, which gave me a strong advantage throughout my school years. This early foundation helped me consistently succeed in English classes and eventually guided me toward pursuing it as my field of study.

This eventually led me to study English at Yenibosna (Istanbul) Language Intensive High School, followed by a degree in American Culture and Literature at Istanbul University.

After graduation, I worked in the private sector, including projects as a translator, and taught English at local schools. Those experiences showed me how flexible language can be—and how different learners need different approaches.

Over time, I decided to focus fully on online English teaching. Today, I run my own platform where I help students from Turkey and across Europe improve their fluency, prepare for exams like IELTS and YDS, and gain confidence using English in professional and everyday situations. My teaching style is practical, student-centered, and rooted in the belief that language is a living tool, not just a set of rules.

As a non-native speaker, I've been in your shoes: I know exactly what it feels like to struggle with grammar rules, pronunciation, or confidence, because I've lived through it myself. That makes me better at spotting the roadblocks my students will hit and giving you practical ways around them.
